PM Surya Ghar Application Status: What Each Stage Means

Pipeline graphic of PM Surya Ghar application status stages for solar in Gujarat, UVR Green Energies

Decode Track Details on the national portal. Each stage has an owner. Gujarat’s extra state DBT is a later box, not the same clock as CFA.

The short answer

PM Surya Ghar application status on Track Details is register, vendor, feasibility, install, inspect, then CFA redemption. Gujarat’s 22 October 2026 state DBT is a separate DISCOM credit, not the same portal box as CFA. Save every PDF the consumer manual lists. PIB’s published processing window runs only after DISCOM approval on the portal, not from your survey date. Use this page when WhatsApp and Track Details disagree.

Key takeaways

The status that never says “chai ready”

Portal status is a pipeline. It is not a mood.

Short answer: PM Surya Ghar application status on Track Details tells you who moves next. Most Gujarat homes stall at DISCOM feasibility or at post-install inspection, not at “MNRE forgot Vadodara”. CFA and the 22 Oct 2026 state DBT are different credits. Tick the tracker on this page. The documents checklist is the usual fix when a stage bounces.

UVR Green Energies reads these statuses for solar in Vadodara, Surat, Bharuch, Anand, Halol, Indore, Greater Noida and national files.

Track Details: your source of truth

Register and choose vendor

Registration pulls your consumer number from the DISCOM database. If the number fails, fix the bill first — wrong licensee, wrong spelling, or a commercial category on a residential query.

You may change vendor until installation details are submitted, per the consumer manual. After serials hit the portal, switching vendors is a new agreement and often a new inspection narrative. Pick a portal-registered vendor before steel goes up. Our Vadodara MGVCL guide walks the same portal with a local bill header.

Feasibility and the e-token letter

Feasibility means DISCOM has checked that your proposed capacity can connect under GERC net-metering rules — transformer headroom, line category, and the paperwork on their estimate.

It is not CFA. It is not permission to skip DCR. It is not the Gujarat state DBT.

GERC’s Fourth Amendment moved strengthening economics: up to 6 kW aggregate rooftop sits in the DISCOM ARR; above 6 kW, approved per-kW charges apply on the extra capacity only — see system strengthening above 6 kW. Feasibility may mention those lines on the estimate even while portal status still says “pending DISCOM”.

Vendor agreement and installation

After feasibility, you upload the vendor agreement — the commercial contract for size, price and payment terms. This is the agreement people mean in 2025–2026 files.

Do not confuse it with the old connectivity agreement on stamp paper. GERC’s Fifth Amendment removed a separate written connectivity agreement for PM Surya Ghar plants from early November 2025. DISCOM instead communicates commissioning date and surplus rate under proper receipt. Read Gujarat drops connectivity agreement if status still says “agreement pending”.

Installation uploads require DCR serials, inverter serials and geo-tagged photographs. DCR rules and the documents checklist are the fix when this stage bounces.

What “pending DISCOM” usually means

“Pending DISCOM” covers at least three different waits:

  1. Feasibility queue — transformer headroom, estimate fees, society papers
  2. Inspection queue — net meter fitment, physical verification for CFA
  3. Paper mismatch — portal serials do not match the roof

It is rarely “MNRE is on holiday”. It is often a circle office doing lawful checks under GERC and the Electricity Supply Code.

MGVCL in Vadodara, Torrent in parts of Surat, DGVCL in Bharuch, UGVCL in north Gujarat, PGVCL in Saurashtra — each has its own queue. We do not invent day-counts for those queues.

After the panels are up: inspection and CFA clock

MNRE operational guidelines: CFA is processed only after the DISCOM physically verifies the system and completes the portal process.

That clock starts after DISCOM approval on the portal, not after you book a survey, not after feasibility, and not after you pay the vendor’s first invoice. According to the PIB release listed in sources below, subsidy processing can take up to 15 days after that DISCOM approval.

Common bounce-backs after install:

Fix the documents checklist before you call the helpline.

Fifth Amendment paperwork: keep DISCOM’s written commissioning date and surplus rate (often ₹2.25 per unit for self-owned residential surplus in the first five years under earlier GERC notifications). That letter replaced the extra connectivity signature — it is not optional stationery.

Gujarat’s extra box: state DBT

If installed DC ≤ 2.18 kWp, commissioned on or after 22 October 2026, residential, the GR adds state DBT via MGVCL / DGVCL / UGVCL / PGVCL / Torrent. GUVNL is nodal.

This is not the CFA e-token. Do not merge clocks.

Two URLs, one homeowner

Gujarat homeowners bookmark both pmsuryaghar.gov.in and suryagujarat.guvnl.in. CFA money follows the national portal. SURYA Gujarat is the DISCOM window for interconnection workflows.

Our national vs SURYA Gujarat guide explains which screen answers which question. When in doubt, screenshot Track Details.

Loans, e-tokens and redemption

If you took a collateral-free loan through the portal, CFA may credit the loan account first. Track Details should still show e-token activation with the amount for your installed kW.

Redemption is a consumer action in the profile after DISCOM approval. A file can show “commissioning complete” and still sit pre-redemption if nobody clicked redeem or if bank KYC failed validation.

That is different from Gujarat state DBT, which DISCOM processes under the October 2026 GR when capacity and commissioning date qualify. Two payments, two statuses — do not merge them in a family WhatsApp group.

For the central table (₹30,000 / ₹18,000 cap ₹78,000), use the pillar and the subsidy checker tool linked there. State top-up math for ≤2.18 kWp lives in the 2 kW vs 3 kW guide.

If Track Details shows “installation submitted” for more than a few billing cycles without a commissioning letter, ask your vendor whether DISCOM requested a physical visit date. Gujarat licensees sometimes batch net-meter fitment after the monsoon; that is a queue issue, not proof that CFA rules changed.

Keep a simple log: date of feasibility PDF, date modules landed, date installation details were submitted, date of commissioning letter. When a helpline agent asks “when did you install?”, that log beats memory.

The national portal also lists vendor ratings and registration status. A vendor who disappears mid-file hurts status more than a slow DISCOM — re-selection is allowed only until installation details exist, so escalate early if your registered vendor stops answering after feasibility.

Red flags on Track Details

Treat these portal messages as stop signs until paperwork is fixed:

None of those are solved by calling MNRE before fixing the documents checklist.

Hinglish: PM Surya Ghar status check, application pending discom, subsidy kab aayegi — Track Details first, then the bill’s DISCOM helpdesk, then UVR if we are the vendor.

Frequently asked questions

How do I check PM Surya Ghar status in Gujarat?

Log into pmsuryaghar.gov.in and open Track Details. The consumer manual shows DISCOM comments plus downloads: acknowledgement, e-token feasibility letter, commissioning letter and installation details. MGVCL, DGVCL, UGVCL, PGVCL or Torrent Power may also SMS. If the portal and the vendor disagree, believe the portal screenshot. UVR Green Energies will read that screenshot with your bill.

What does feasibility approval mean?

DISCOM has not yet installed your plant. It has said the connection can take the proposed rooftop capacity under its network rules, including transformer headroom in GERC’s regulations. You then upload the vendor agreement and the vendor installs. CFA is not paid at feasibility. People searching application pending discom are often here, waiting on a circle office, not on MNRE.

Why is subsidy pending after installation?

MNRE operational guidelines: CFA is processed only after the DISCOM physically verifies the system and completes the portal process. The PIB release in sources describes processing within 15 days of that DISCOM approval. Missing DCR serials, blurry geo-photos or a bank-name mismatch send the file backwards. Gujarat state DBT, where the 22 October 2026 GR applies, is a second payment without a printed day-count in the GR.

Can I change vendor if status is stuck?

The consumer manual says the vendor can be re-selected until solar installation details are submitted and the agreement can be re-uploaded. After installation details exist, switching is a different mess. Choose a portal-registered vendor before the structure goes up. UVR will not ask you to abandon a lawful completed install just to change the logo on the invoice.

Does Surya Gujarat yojana have a separate status page?

SURYA Gujarat is the GUVNL DISCOM window. CFA status that releases MNRE money lives on the national portal. If a DISCOM letter points you at suryagujarat.guvnl.in, keep that bookmark, but do not treat it as a second CFA tracker. The two-portal guide covers which URL does what. Confirm live forms.
