Rooftop Solar in Bharuch: DGVCL Subsidy Guide

DGVCL south Gujarat graphic for rooftop solar in Bharuch and Ankleshwar, UVR Green Energies

Bharuch and Ankleshwar homes sit on DGVCL. CFA is the national portal. Extra Gujarat state DBT, if you qualify, is the same 22 October 2026 GR as Vadodara.

The short answer

Rooftop solar in Bharuch is a DGVCL file with the same PM Surya Ghar CFA as the rest of India. Ankleshwar typically shares that DISCOM. Apply on the national portal with a registered vendor and DCR modules. The 22 October 2026 state top-up can add DBT up to 2.18 kWp. UVR Green Energies surveys from Bhayli, Vadodara, across Gujarat and nationally — a city guide, not a service-area limit.

Key takeaways

The NH-48 terrace

Bharuch sits on the highway between Vadodara and Surat. The DISCOM is usually DGVCL. The CFA table does not change at the district border.

Short answer: Rooftop solar Bharuch is PM Surya Ghar on the national portal, inspected by DGVCL, with the same Gujarat state solar subsidy GR as MGVCL if DC stays at or under 2.18 kWp. Ankleshwar home solar is the same DISCOM story. UVR Green Energies surveys from Bhayli and does not treat Bharuch as a foreign country.

DGVCL, not a special Bharuch scheme

Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Ltd. is the south Gujarat state DISCOM. MNRE lists it on SURYA Gujarat for subsidy DISCOM links.

What this Bharuch guide is not

It is not a DGVCL-only subsidy rate. Bharuch does not get a higher CFA slab — only the national table and, separately, the 22 October 2026 state GR when DC ≤ 2.18 kWp.

It is not a Surat city Torrent guide. Surat municipality splits Torrent versus DGVCL — PM Surya Ghar Surat. Bharuch and Ankleshwar are typically DGVCL throughout.

It is not commercial solar maths dressed as PM Surya Ghar. Factories on LT industrial tariffs need a different conversation — depreciation and demand charges are real, but they are not ₹78,000 home CFA.

It is not an excuse to skip DCR. DCR vs non-DCR panels still gate subsidy on the national portal.

DGVCL process from NH-48 to net meter

  1. Residential DGVCL bill — consumer number, name match for bank proof.
  2. Register on pmsuryaghar.gov.in — pillar explainer: PM Surya Ghar subsidy Gujarat.
  3. Choose a portal-registered vendor (UVR Green Energies files from Bhayli).
  4. Install DCR after feasibility clears; vendor uploads geo-tagged evidence.
  5. DGVCL inspects, fits bi-directional meter, approves on portal.
  6. CFA after approval; state DBT later if GR fits.

MNRE lists DGVCL’s subsidy DISCOM link at suryagujarat.guvnl.in. Use national vs SURYA Gujarat when both links appear in a WhatsApp forward.

Use the subsidy calculator on this page with your planned kW before you argue 2 versus 3.

How much, and 2 kW versus 3 kW

CFA: ₹30,000 / ₹60,000 / ₹78,000 as in PIB.

State GR: extra DBT only ≤ 2.18 kW, 10%/5% of benchmark, three-year lock. DGVCL is a named paying body. 2 kW vs 3 kW.

UVR Gujarat list: 2 kW about ₹1,14,000 gross / ₹24,000 after CFA + state DBT; 3 kW about ₹1,62,000 / ₹84,000 after CFA only (above the 2.18 kWp state cap). You pay the full installed cost upfront; central and Gujarat state subsidies are credited by DISCOM after commissioning.

Use the subsidy calculator on this page with your planned kW.

Hinglish: Bharuch solar subsidy kitni milti hai = central table ± 2.18 kW state remainder. Ankleshwar home solar on a residential bill is in. On a factory bill is out.

GERC fees and connectivity (DGVCL applies statewide)

₹2,950 waiver for meter and connectivity on new rooftop up to 6 kW total where GERC directions apply — check your DGVCL estimate line.

Strengthening above 6 kW: consumer pays for capacity above the threshold per Fourth Amendment and DGVCL’s approved LT schedule — we do not quote ₹/kW here.

PM Surya Ghar homes: no separate connectivity agreement from 4 November 2025 (Fifth Amendment); DGVCL still records commissioning and surplus rate.

Sizing Bharuch and Ankleshwar roofs

Start from twelve months of DGVCL units, not from a neighbour’s 3 kW install near the Narmada bridge. UVR uses 126 units/kW/month as planning yield before shade — indicative, not a guarantee on your terrace.

After the 2026 GR, 2 kW versus 3 kW is also a lock-in decision: extra state DBT attaches only when DC stays at or under 2.18 kWp. Read 2 kW vs 3 kW state subsidy and run the calculator on this page with your target kW.

Coastal humidity and industrial dust near Ankleshwar can affect maintenance, not MNRE rupees. Module cleaning still matters for production; subsidy is capacity-based.

After install: inspection, CFA and state DBT order

DGVCL inspects when the vendor upload is complete — serial numbers, photos and capacity must match the roof. CFA follows DISCOM approval on the national portal; PIB describes processing within 15 days of DISCOM approval, not from the day you paid the vendor advance.

State DBT under the 22 October 2026 GR is a separate DGVCL credit when DC ≤ 2.18 kWp and other GR tests fit. UVR’s published list subtracts that amount into the estimated net for eligible sizes, but you still pay the vendor the full installed cost first.

Net metering runs under GERC — billing-cycle set-off, surplus ₹2.25 for five years on self-owned homes unless a later Commission order on your paper says otherwise. Net metering MGVCL Vadodara explains the arithmetic flavour; DGVCL bills follow the same regulatory spine.

Ankleshwar, GIDC views and connection category

Ankleshwar mixes bungalows with residential DGVCL meters and factory connections with very different tariffs. PM Surya Ghar home CFA follows connection category, not terrace size. A large shed on an industrial consumer number is not fixed by renaming the project “home solar” in the vendor quote.

GIDC neighbours on commercial LT may still benefit from solar — but through C&I economics, depreciation and demand-charge logic, not through ₹78,000 residential CFA. UVR designs both; paperwork diverges.

Residential colonies near the highway usually match Bharuch town’s DGVCL story: national portal, DCR, inspection, net meter. Confirm the bill before you share one portal login across siblings.

For south Gujarat siblings in Navsari or Valsad on DGVCL, the steps rhyme with Bharuch — still read each bill. For Surat city, use the Torrent vs DGVCL split.

Frequently asked questions

How much is Bharuch solar subsidy in 2026?

Central CFA is ₹30,000 per kW for the first 2 kW and ₹18,000 for the third kW, capped at ₹78,000. DGVCL does not publish a Bharuch-only extra central slab. From 22 October 2026 a residential plant up to 2.18 kWp DC can also receive state DBT after your 10% or 5% share of the MNRE benchmark. UVR’s Gujarat list now nets both for eligible sizes — a general-category 2 kW home is about ₹24,000 after CFA and state DBT. You pay the full installed cost upfront; central and Gujarat state subsidies are credited by DISCOM after commissioning. Factories on commercial tariffs are outside PM Surya Ghar.

Is Ankleshwar home solar on DGVCL too?

Ankleshwar is in Bharuch district and typically on Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Ltd. Read the bill. CFA and the 2026 state GR follow the licensee, not the GIDC gate. A bungalow with a residential connection can apply on the national portal. A factory connection cannot collect home CFA even if the terrace is large. UVR designs both, with different paperwork.

DGVCL solar Bharuch — SURYA Gujarat or national portal?

CFA: pmsuryaghar.gov.in. MNRE lists DGVCL’s subsidy DISCOM link as suryagujarat.guvnl.in. Use the national portal for the e-token. DGVCL inspects. The two-portal guide explains why both URLs appear in WhatsApp forwards. Confirm live menus before you trust a screenshot from 2024.

Does UVR only install in Vadodara, not Bharuch?

No. Head office is in Bhayli, Vadodara. Bharuch is a short run down NH-48 and is a listed city page on this site. UVR Green Energies also takes solar in Surat, Anand, Ahmedabad, Rajkot and national sites. Distance from HQ is not an eligibility test for PM Surya Ghar.

What size plant does a Bharuch bungalow need?

Start from twelve months of DGVCL units, not from a neighbour’s 3 kW. UVR’s planning yield is 126 units per kW per month before shade. After the 2026 GR, 2 kW versus 3 kW also changes subsidy lock-in. Size with a survey. Surplus leftover still pays only ₹2.25 a unit for five years under GERC, so do not oversize to ‘sell’ power.
